Romance Week - Contemporary Romance - Favorite Books

Everyone has their favorite novels, ones they will re-read and keep on their shelves.

The list continually grows as I find new authors - I think Mike needs to build me another bookshelf!  The one I currently have is almost full!

Who are your favorite contemporary authors?

Here are a few of my favorites:

Nora Roberts - I discovered her novels quite by accident a few years ago.  One of my favorite Trilogies is the Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy.

Book #1 - Jewels of the Sun
Frances Jude Murray has come from America to explore her past, only to find there is another woman in the cottage she is staying in—a ghost. With the help of a fairie and handsome Aidan Gallagher, they will take the first step in breaking a hundred-year-old spell.

Book #2 - Tears of the Moon
No one understands why Shawn Gallagher, a talented songwriter, doesn’t put his musical gift to profitable use—least of all Brenna O’Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years. But it is only when Shawn gives in to the mysteries of magic that he gets the chance to fulfill his destiny as musician—and a man.
Book #3 - Heart of the Sea
Darcy Gallagher has always believed in the pull of fate, the magic of legend—and the importance of money. A wealthy businessman with Irish blood, Trevor Magee has come to Ardmore to build a theater—and uncover the secrets hidden in his family’s past. He thought he had given up on love long ago, but Darcy Gallagher tempts him like no woman ever has.

Another favorite is Susan Mallory - I found her novels through my local library.  I picked up one of the books in the Buchanon Series and was hooked!  All four now have a lovely home on my shelf!

Delicious (The Buchanans, Book 1)Book #1 - Delicious

Irresistible (The Buchanans, Book 2)Book #2 - Irresistable
When ex-Marine Walker Buchanan stops to help Elissa Towers change a tire, he tells himself it's just theneighborly thing to do. And when Elissa finds herself baking him a thank-you pie, she's just returning the favor…right?
Both of them have sworn off dating—Elissa's determined to protect her little girl, and that means ditching her taste for dangerous men…especially former Marines with dark secrets. Walker knows that he's not cut out for hearth and home…his own crazy family made sure of that. But the sparks won't stop flying between them.
Now the two are struggling to keep their relationship "just friends," but with every kiss, their rules fly out the window…

Sizzling (The Buchanans, Book 3)Book #3 - Sizzling
Reid Buchanan was always a fan favorite on the baseball diamond. A spiteful article about the former pitcher and current playboy questions his talent in the bedroom. And the newspaper's just the first bad news. Reid's grandmother Gloria's broken hip means she needs constant care--but Reid hired Nurses 1 and 2 for their bedside manner with him. So for Number 3 he chooses Lori Johnson, the first candidate who seems immune to his brand of charm.
Lori's never wasted her time with amoebas like Reid Buchanan. So why are her well-fortified defenses starting to crumble under the force of his sexy smile--and the kindness he shows her at every turn? There's only one explanation for the feelings flaring between them--chemistry. Chemistry so hot, it's sizzling!

TemptingBook #4 - Tempting
After three romantic flame-outs in a year and a restaurant career going nowhere, Dani Buchanan needs a fresh start. She goes looking for her biological father, but never expects to find a senator running for president. The last thing either of them wants is love, especially with scandals brewing and family trouble on the way. But Dani and Alex are forced to trust each other, and when trust turns to passion, the potential for disaster is only a tabloid scandal away.
