My Thoughts:

When I first picked this story up, I wasn't quite sure what to expect.  Was this the story of a young woman trying to make it in a man's world?  Breaking through the prejudice and thick headed-ness of old fashioned society?  It was so much more then that.

Beth McClellan - doctor in training, who is regulated to being nothing but a nurse.  She is on route home for her sister's wedding (Mandy) and is thrown into a tragic situation with Alec Buchanan.  Unfortunately for Beth, Alec isn't in the best of shape to help her.  He's a broken man, he has pushed himself into the darkest place he could possibly be in.  Drunk and full of self pity - Alec has to get a grip on reality and help Beth save several lives.

This was an amazing story of how two people - Beth and Alec - find one another.  Beth saves Alec, bringing him back to life.   They have many obstacles to overcome, but they push their way through to be together.
Both such stubborn people, they have their faith and family to help them through.

This was my first novel by Mary Connealy, and I have to say I'm hooked!  I devoured this book, and the other two in the series as well!  This is an incredible story, and I recommend it to anyone who loves Inspirational, Christian, Historical or Western romances!
