Review: Caldwell Sisters Trilogy by Lucianne Rivers

Title:  Hold Me

Synopsis:

Still reeling from her mother’s death, news anchor Jane Caldwell’s life is upended further when she learns the father she lost twenty years ago is still alive. Her mother’s will unleashes a manhunt—the Caldwell sisters must find their father, or their mother’s estate will not be settled, and their questions about his disappearance will remain unanswered.

Jane’s search leads her to Guatemala to investigate a man who claims to be her father and heir to the family fortune. Needing a translator, she enlists enigmatic Harrison DeNeuve, a sexy ex-patriot with a penchant for wearing dark sunglasses in public.

As Jane struggles to reunite with her would-be father, Harrison fights to suppress his desire for Jane. He has a secret—one he’s sequestered himself in a third-world jungle hideaway to keep safe—and falling for Jane puts more than his heart at risk.

Jane finds two men in Guatemala—a father and a lover—but can she trust either of them?

Jane is smart, sexy, adventurous and isn't afraid to do what she needs to do to get things done.  She finds herself half way around the world hunting for her father who died when she was a child.  After the sudden passing of her mother, her sisters each inherit a portion of the family ranch.  Little did the sisters know, that their father was also listed in their mother's estate.

I've always loved stories of siblings and families - and this series is no exception to that rule.  Jane finds herself in a small town in the middle of Guatemala.  Harrison, out of the blue rescues her and helps her find her way.  These two have some of the most amazing chemistry.. so hot I needed a fan to read some of the steamy scenes!

Harrison and Jane find come common ground and learn to trust one another.  But will she trust the man she believes to be her father?  This was a great start to the series!

Synopsis:

Santa Fe Police Detective Margo Caldwell needs a vacation, but the wild goose chase her mother’s death triggers isn’t quite what she had in mind. Margo and her sisters must locate their father, or the Caldwell estate will remain unsettled—and they’ll never know why their father didn’t return from the Gulf War.

Pursuing a lead, Margo heads to the Virgin Islands in search of Zach Caldwell. To navigate the waters of the Caribbean, she needs a boat and a captain. Too bad Captain Adrian Prince, with his mesmerizing muscles and wicked grin, may be gunrunner.

Adrian takes Margo on his delivery route to small islands near St. Thomas that hide more than wildlife, booze, and sexy boaters. On a remote, mangrove-ridden patch of sand, they find gun-toting Zach Caldwell. When their mission turns deadly, Margo must save Adrian’s life—and her own—even if she loses her heart in the process

Book 2 in the Caldwell sisters series is just as steamy and hot hot hot as the first book!  Police Detective Margo Caldwell is in DESPERATE need of a vacation.  The one and only time she manages to get away is to hunt down a man who could be her missing father.

The Virgin Islands is hopefully where she's going to hunt Zach Caldwell down and bring him home to his family.  Little does she know that she'll meet Adrian.  A sexy as hell younger man who she'll have to overcome her fears to save.  And hopefully prove the maniac wielding the gun isn't her father.  These two have some incredible chemistry that sets the pages on fire.

Margo's story overlaps with Jane's story.  One of the things I liked about this story was how it referenced what Jane was doing.  It really brought things together!

Synopsis:

Heartsick over the untimely death of her mother, Allison Caldwell is blindsided again by the secret revealed in her mom’s will. Her supposedly dead father is alive, and she and her two sisters must find him in order to settle the Caldwell estate.

Robert Rivera, private investigator and former Navy SEAL, alerts Allison to new intel identifying her father as a P.O.W. in Afghanistan. With her sisters out of the country pursuing leads, Allison insists on heading to the war-ravaged country to find him. Robert doesn’t want his na├»ve client to take the risk. He knows what danger lays in that godforsaken land…he’s lived through it. Barely.

But Allison is determined to go, and Robert can’t let her travel alone. Reluctantly appreciative, Allison quickly realizes how much she needs his guidance and protection, and how deeply she longs for his love. Robert struggles to understand her effect on his battle-weary heart.

The path to Allison’s father is blocked by terrorists, traps and treachery—all demons of Robert’s past. Can he survive a second round with the enemy and keep Allison out of harm’s way?

Last but definitely not least we have Allison.  The baby of the family.  While Jane and Margo are off in Guatemala and the Virgin Islands she stays home to look after the ranch.  The private detective and former SEAL informs her that one more lead has come up for their father.  This time it's in Afghanistan..

Margo and Jane have no idea she's gone off with Robert to find their father until they've returned home.  They are frantic to find out if she's alright.  Thankfully she has someone with her who has been in this area and hopefully can lead her to the man who could be the missing Zach Caldwell.

Allison and Robert are a great couple.  They are afraid to admit how they feel about one another and keep each other at arms length.  With all the dangers that they have to face to find Zach they have to learn to trust one another and that relationship blossoms into something extremely intense.

Lucianne's stories of the Caldwell sisters completely blew me away.  I was so impressed with how much detail and how the relationships went from meet, hot hot hot sex, to relationship and each sister's happily ever after.  The characters were so well developed in such a short period of time.

This is one sexy series and I highly recommend it!
