Welcome to our 4th Annual Romance Week!
Once again Chrystal from Snowdrop Dreams of Books and I are putting on our fabulous week long event filled with all sorts of wonderful romance, great authors and giveaways galore!
To kick things off this week I have the lovely Sophie Barnes and over visiting Chrystal is Naya Nikki!
Born in Denmark, Sophie has spent her youth traveling with her parents to wonderful places all around the world. She’s lived in five different countries, on three different continents, and speaks Danish, English, French, Spanish and Romanian.
She has studied design in Paris and New York and has a bachelor’s degree from Parson’s School of design, but most impressive of all – she’s been married to the same man three times, in three different countries and in three different dresses.
While living in Africa, Sophie turned to her lifelong passion – writing.
When she’s not busy, dreaming up her next romance novel, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, cooking, gardening, watching romantic comedies and, of course, reading. She currently lives on the East Coast.
After Happily Ever After
Five years after The Trouble With Being A Duke and The Scandal In Kissing An Heir, Isabella and Anthony have made a happy home for themselves at Kingsborough Hall together with Anthony’s mother, Isabella’s parents, Isabella’s sister, Jamie, and Isabella’s and Anthony’s two sons, Spencer and Henry. Since Isabella longs for a daughter, the couple, whose love for each other grows stronger with each passing day, is actively working on making that happen, but whenever Anthony isn’t romancing his wife, he still finds time to work on his figures and has even made a few toys for his children. Isabella on the other hand has taken advantage of the Kingsborough library and is working her way through each of the books there, thankful that her husband approves of leisurely reading. Jamie, who is now eighteen years old and has made her debut with her mother and sister as chaperones, is just as boisterous as she was when she was younger, and while there are many young gentlemen who find that appealing, she has yet to meet one who doesn’t mind finding a frog in his pocket.
Meanwhile, at Nuit House, Rebecca and Daniel have settled into a comfortable routine. Their story books have become a smashing success and they spend most of their mornings working on new ideas while Rebecca’s maid, Laura, takes care of the children. Unable to keep their hands off each other, Daniel and Rebecca’s love has resulted in two boys and a girl with whom they look forward to spending their afternoons, either going to the park, to Gunther’s or visiting Daniel’s aunt and uncle who adore their grandniece and nephews. And while some might disapprove, Rebecca and Daniel are not opposed to crawling around on the floor with their children, building hideouts under the dining room table or playing hide and seek. In their minds, the children come first, and it is of the greatest importance to Rebecca and Daniel that they have a happy childhood.

Sophie Barnes does it again in this sizzling Regency-set romance where anything can happen at the Kingsborough Ball... Lucien Marvaine never thought he was good enough for Katherine. As the younger son of an earl, he didn't have a title or prospects. Then fate steps in and gives him a second chance, and this new Earl of Roxberry is determined to make the beautiful Kate his own . . . one touch . . . one kiss at a time.
Katherine never thought of herself as a temptress, certainly not with Lucien. Why, she's known him almost all her life! Yet as she waltzes in Lucien's arms at the Kingsborough Ball, she can't help but be drawn to him. Has he always been this hard and masculine? And where did those dimples come from? Kate is not looking for a husband . . . but how can she not surrender to Lucien's charms when love is at stake?
